Haven't got anyone to train with atm, so need motivation-a-go-go
Ironically enough, I've laid off all grip training now, cos I intend to start KTA (if I can figure it out, it doesn't seem very straightforwardly(it's a word!) written) soon. No idea what my goal gripper should be, though, I mean, how high does one set one's targets?
My grippers are so flocked that I've 2 #3's 1 rated at MM2 status, 1 near MM3, I've got a #2.5 I can't close anyhow, but I've 3 RB210's I can TNS on a good day, and close anytime if I brace the sweep. I've a 3.5 barely harder than my 3's I've a 4 which is a 4!, but I also have a 4 which is a 3-and-bit! I have never seen a HG300 I haven't TNS'd.
What gripper should be my goal?

Sounds like you're goal gripper should be the no.3. Maybe get another no.3? You can never have too many hey! I'm really interested about you're super hard no.3 by the way you say its been rated near MM3 status, i'd like to give that a crack. Let me know if you fancy a trade, i can send you a gripper that would suit you.

Just you wait! I'm on week 2 of phase 2 and my hands are f#c%ed. What did you decide to use for goal, neg and overcrush grippers?

I've read the KTA stuff. Seems like overtraining to me. It would be with anything else. BTW, has anyone ever seen Joe Kinney's tape?

Day 2, done.
Ramping up the thumb work, because that's my real weak point, watching David's excellent DVD (buy it if you don't have it) to see what I can do for my pinch/thumb.

Day 3, check.
Did some blockweight curls, and then passed my blob30 hand to hand a couple of times for some extra thumb work.
I'll do some extensor work tonight with the IM red bands.

Yes, I told you I'm guilty of only training what I'm good at, so I'm trying to rectify that.
Besides, I want to train for the inch on my Chris Rice DB handle, also I wanna train for the Blob and I'm not going to do that with weak thumbs.
Did day 4 of KTA, still feeling fine.
I've realised that I'm weak at the close, so while the volume is still (relatively) light, I'm sticking in a few BTR closes on a heavily filed gripper. So now I'm doing 2 grip workouts a day now, KTA in the a.m. and thumb/pinch, extensors and BTR closes in the p.m.

Finished week 1 of KTA yesterday, looking forward to the rest day today, but did some dynamic thumb work this morning, just too keep up the pressure on my weak point.
