The cold has gone but it left me without any energy and I plodded through the following.
log press Warmed up to 70kg x 5 but shoulder was feeling sore so I stopped. I think the DB press on Friday was too much, too soon.
farmers (turns at 25m)
60kg x 50m 80kg x 50m 90kg x 50m (one put down about 30m mark). 110kg x 25m 120kg x 20m (bringing home someone else's failed attempt).
stone 3 singles with 110kg. No talky, arm guards etc. Just raw for a change.

dinnies front/rear135/90kg 155/115kg 175/135kg -- lost skin Going backwards with this. Really need to make it more of a priority instead of doing heavy farmers walk 2 days beforehand and then stuffing this up. safety squatWorked up to 200x1 au.youtube.com/watch?v=7iq7kgQLPowFelt deep enough at the time but looks high on playback. angle doesn't help. Turns out it is the Dave Draper top-squat i am using. pullups on a regular bar 8xbdywt 6xbdywt 1hand dumbell clean and press 8x10kg 8x12.5kg 8x15kg 8x17.5kg 8x20kg 8x22.5kg 8x25kg 2x8x27.5kg A few too many warmups (!) but i have bugger all confidence in my left shoulder.

All felt a bit like hard work after all those mince pies.
axle military press 70kg x 5 75kg x 5 75kg x 5 80kg x 4
80kg x 3 -- each cleaned from floor and 'sort-of' push pressed as much as dodgy shoulder allowed.
keg bearhug and carry (turns at 25m) 64kg x 50m 80kg x 50m 95kg x 50m 105kg x 50m 105kg x 1m...too slippy/sweaty. So carried it across thighs for 50m
stones 110kg x 2 130kg x 1

Here is the stone loading for the comp. The loading of the first stone was not caught on camera. au.youtube.com/watch?v=_uBxwQ5yMWIBit tired today but trained anyway. Did some events that did not cause the thumb any grief. didn't video or time anything. couldn't be bothered. keg bearhug and carry (turns at 25m) 1x64kg x 50m 1x80kg x 50m 3x95kg x 50m farmers walk (turns at 25m) 1x60kg x 50m 1x70kg x 50m 1x90kg x 50m 1x100kg x 50m (1 putdown at about 45m. Almost made it!) keg loading loading 64kg, 80kg, 95kg, 105kg stones warmed up and then couple with 110kg and a single with 130kg

Went to the gym but was still too sore and stiff to do anything.
Managed a few pullups, pulldowns and pressups before giving up.
I have a small muscle pull in the upper back near the rear delt. nothing serious but annoying.
I need a couple of days rest and then focus on the grip comp in 3 weeks. Thumb is much improved, although wide pinching is too sore so the blockweights are out of the question for now. thickbar also is too sore. Thin stuff seems fine though.

Did not do much as I was a bit weary after a couple of heavy training sessions combined with a couple of poor night's sleep with the wee one.
farmers walk (turns each 25m) 60kg x 50m 80kg x 50m 90kg x 52m (got both turns then failed shortly afterwards)
axle press
worked up to 5x70kg.
The niggly at the rear delt/tricep is still a bit twingy so I stopped.

Postponed the strongman training because of the heat and also my shoulder injury is still troubling me. I think it is a reoccurance of the inflamed bicep tendon where it joins the shoulder. It makes it hard to get the arm over head. Need to try and remember the rehab from last time At this rate I am going to become a lower-body specialist, with huge lower body and no shoulders so did some vulcan, 2HP and axle work.

picked a few exercises which I think won't irritate the shoulder. I still can't get the arm overhead. Next month's highland games comp is going to be 'interesting'!
farmers (turns each 25m) Worked up to 80kg each hand x 75m and did this twice.
axle deads Did triples as heavy as I could manage. 98kg x3 108kg x 3 113kg x 3 118kg x 3
carry/drag
105kg keg carried 25m and dumped in a sled which was pulled back.

Started a new job on Monday and the change in routine has had a bit of an impact on the training. So has the crazy heat! 41 degrees on Monday.
Missed training on Sunday but got a session in last night (35+ degrees). Suprise, suprise it was crap.
Did a deadlift of 250kg and thought....nah...it not happening tonight. Then did some 1hand lift and situps.
Then home to sweat all night in bed. Yuk!
the grip comp is on the 1st and I feel all sixes and sevens.
Still can't get my right arm over head. Good thing i have no hair to comb

Pretty much the final grip session before the comp next Sunday.
Did some Vulcan, 2HP and rows with the end of the axle.
Finished off with loading the 64kg keg 10 times and a few standups with the 80kg stone. Really just to see how the shoulder holds up. The ice and anti inflamms and off to tackle a heap of ironing. Oh, the glamour!!

stones 110kg x 5 reps. rwally a test of the injured shoulder. willl see how she feel in the morning.
Rest hands until grip comp on sunday.
