It's quite dependent on what type of hub is used of course. David's competition used a 'triple hub' from Stan Pike and a 45lb plate which is very nice for pinching - even I was able to lift it with an extra 1.25kg on top. I find the IM hub hard as it's very slick. I haven't heard of one being used in any British events, but maybe someone will correct me? I know it has been used in a few american contests and I think hubgeezer did 73lbs.
