I am reliably informed that Laurence Shahlaei had a blinder of a session today and pulled 111-kilos on the 2HP.

Fantastic effort!
With more and more strongmen being involved the records WILL get pushed higher - believe me.

And as if to prove it... Yesterday Scott (dunno surname) and Wayne Chowdrey (sp) both of whom compete in strongman came to the yard yesterday. In the past Wayne has beaten, by some margin, Laurence Shalaei on the Hercules hold. After log lifts, yoke / frame walks, stones and more he and Scott had a crack at the 2HP. Both got 70 and 80-kilos with ease with Wayne getting 90-kilos a couple of times (so his 3rd and 4th REP) but missing 95 (came up but dropped).
They then both had a go or three at the Inch. Neither made a proper pull off the floor but did well with a rough press or two from the shoulder for them both. Wayne managing a well-judged solid single held for time.
These guys had never touched either implement before yesterday and did numbers that will, if they compete, get them in the top 50 of all time lists. Wayne said he has a good grip but here are some better out there. I may need to start locking the doors ha ha

I think it was him (Wayne) that won the northwich strongman event. He was pretty strong all round, particularly the van deadlift.
