I am running a grip comp this Sunday and a couple of guys want to try and increase the Australian axle DO record on the day.
The axle is not in the comp ...but they just want to use the competition setting and calibrated weights to have a crack at it.
Is there a BHSA convention as to how the record attempt(s) are done at their comps?
Does the lifter take as many attempts as they like until they break the the record...or perhaps it is stated upfront that there are X record attempts allowed?

Hmm. See what David says but we have had record days but usually stick to the 4 attempts format as per a standard 5 event competition.

I'd say a 4 attempt rising bar system would be the norm. Of course you can warm up prior to the 4 lifts.
