Have not been posting in my journal much as I get totally hacked off with dialup. Might just post bits 'n' bobs that I get footage of. Here is my ongoing practice for an upcoming event. 120kg farmers x 25m, 110kg sandbag, 105kg keg, 110kg stone (no tacky) Fitness improving overall but still slow between each object and the stone without tacky is pretty ordinary. Have stopped virtually all the grip training to concentrate on strongman and rehab for the time being. I use a DO grip for the warmups on the deads and I still do some 1hand plate pinching...but that's all. Had a good night at the gym. Worth posting. 3x250kg deadlift. deadswithout any peaking plan...I just decided to max out today. This was so slow I knew I was pretty much maxed. I loaded 272.5kg more in hope than anticipation and got it about 2" from the ground. Bugger! Started with the deadlift bar, which has no centre knurling and it was all ugly as I could'nt find the centre of the bar 3x80kg each hand 3x85kg each hand. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2aMxCuWYZwSwitched to a bar with centre knurling and did singles. Managed 7 singles with 85kg each hand. pullups (in a ladder style) with bodyweight1,2,3,4 1,2,3 These still hurt my injured forarm a wee bit but worth doing. Reps are low cos I am overweight and weak, rather than the niggle pain. Then used the v-handle and got 4 reps and 5 reps with bodyweight. 1hand wrist curls. suitcase style with oly bar 12x25kg each hand 12x30kg each hand 12x30kg each hand rehab Lots of light pulldowns with a straight bar that allows palms facing.

Staying in a hotel just now in Malaysia, it has a fancy bathroom with lots of mirrors.
Ten years ago this would have been my cue for ambitious shagging...but these days it just shows the unsightly love handles!
So I have been to the hotel gym two consecutive days.
Managed 20minutes on the treadmill between 8 and 10kph. Then a few circuits with machines doing 20 reps and finish off with a bit of a stretch.

Have managed to get a couple of workouts in but I didn't record all the details. From memory... Was suprisingly hard and felt pretty dodgy after the warmup. log Various combinations of cleans/presses/pushpresses.
